About Me

Let me tell you about myself. I am a 27-year-old grad student at UW– Madison. I did my undergrad in Tennessee where I mostly grew up. I have been here in Madison for four years now working on a Masters degree in nuclear engineering and a PhD in electrical engineering. My focus is plasma physics.
Before the accident I had a lot of physical hobbies to balance the mental stress of grad school. I trained in Aikido, a Japanese martial art. I played ultimate frisbee in the summer. I enjoyed hiking, backpacking,  and skiing, and I started rock climbing with fellow grad students recently.
I have played a musical instrument for most of my life but the last six years been devoted to the guitar and songwriting. I also enjoy reading in a wide range of subjects but it's mostly science fiction or fantasy if I just want to relax. I have played a lot of computer games in the past, but don't have much time for it these days.
